When you’re searching for the best places to dine out in Waco, I’ve got you covered. I previewed what’s coming your way, saying in the last article that I’ve got barbecue and pizza lined up for you. There’s more than that, and I think you’re going to be delighted when I tell you about these four wonderful restaurants in the great city of Waco TX.
We’ll start off with pizza, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a pizza that looks like the one in the picture for Poppa Rollo’s Pizza. It’s a taco pie pizza, and my mouth is watering. I mean, that sounds so delicious, don’t you think? Of course, maybe you’re craving a more traditional pizza pie, and in that case, they look excellent. You can find some great pizza for sure at Poppa Rollo’s Pizza.
The barbecue place I want to tell you about is Red Wagon Barbecue. THe location is 169 Halbert Lane, and it’s by the Homestead Market and General Store. Order up your smoked chicken, brisket, haystack, cole slaw, potato salad and much more at this great barbecue joint. The Haystack is the signature barbecue sandwich served up at this place, and people say it is delicious.
Then there is a place to grab an old-fashioned burger, and that just sounds delish, right? Dubl R Old Fashioned Hamburgers is the name of the restaurant, and its address is 1810 Herring Avenue. Now my mouth is watering thinking about an old-fashioned burger. This is a hole in the wall restaurant, and that makes it even better. Reviews say things like lip smacking good and lunch time staple.
And the next restaurant has my name attached to it, which I think is cool. The place is Jesse’s Tortilla Factory. Now, a place that makes its own tortillas in Texas is always going to be a great choice. Just allow me to let you in on that little secret. Jesse’s Tortilla Factory is located at 1226 Webster Avenue, and people have great things to say about the tortillas, chips, tamales and more.
I said in another article that it doesn’t get any better than the four restaurants I mentioned. Well, the same goes for these four. I mean, homemade tortillas, barbecue, pizza and old-fashioned hamburgers await you. How are you ever going to decide where you’re going to eat? I’ve even helped you out, but I think I made it more difficult.
